Melbourne International Comedy Festival

A handpicked selection of the best Australian contemporary comedy performers, straight from the 2022 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, are headed to London and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe – for the first time in almost three years!

With sell-out seasons and 5-star reviews throughout Australia and UK, the Aboriginal Comedy Allstars bring huge belly laughs from the heart of the wide brown land. Emerging from the oldest culture on earth comes the freshest and funniest stand-up comedy around, a cheeky and thought-provoking combination of personal stories and sharp social observation. Starring Sean Choolburra, Janty Blair, Kevin Kropinyeri & Jay Wymarra. The Aboriginal Comedy Allstars will be presenting a full season at the Edinburgh Fringe and two nights at Soho Theatre London.

Sean Choolburra will present his acclaimed kids’ show “Didj and Dance”, a very special treat for family audiences at the Edinburgh Fringe. A charismatic and vibrant and performer, Sean weaves a blend of traditional dance, didgeridoo, storytelling and humour.

2022 Melbourne International Comedy Festival Most Outstanding Show nominee, Danielle Walker, will present her debut Edinburgh Fringe season with “Nostalgia”, an hilarious scrapbook of memories about Danielle’s family. It’s relatable comedy to country people and absurd comedy to city people.

2021 Melbourne International Comedy Festival Most Outstanding Show nominee Nikki Britton, one of Australia’s most in-demand comedy talents, will make her UK debut with the award nominated show “One Small Step”.
