Arndt Art Agency presents two solo presentations by leading Australian contemporary artists, Ben Quilty and Patricia Piccinini.
Arndt Art Agency is pleased to present dual presentations by two of Australia’s most preeminent contemporary artists at Cromwell Place, London.
Ben Quilty’s landmark solo exhibition, “Free Fall”, is a curated selection of medium to large scale paintings and a major sculpture that aim to engage with Australia’s relationship to the United Kingdom as a former British colony, while focusing on the geographical relationship of Australia.
Patricia Piccinini’s presentation “Kindred” presents audiences with a monumental, hyper-realistic sculpture that blurs boundaries between human and animal traits. It continues her exploration of ideas concerning existence in her practice.
Founded in 2016, Arndt Art Agency has offices in Berlin, London and Melbourne, with strong connections to Australia. The agency draws upon an accumulation of over 60 years of professional experience within the global art world across Europe, America, Asia and the Pacific region.
Ben Quilty was born in Sydney, Australia in 1973. Known for his thick, gestural oil paintings, he has been described as one of Australia’s most famous living artists who won the Archibald Prize in 2011. Apart from his role as an artist, he is also known as an Australian social commentator.
Patricia Piccinini was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone in 1965. Her internationally acclaimed work is best known for her transgenic menagerie of hyperrealistic creatures constructed from silicone and fiberglass that investigate the advances of biotechnology and genetic manipulation. She was selected to represent Australia at the 50th Venice Biennale in 2003.
